From doctors, film producers and even Pulitzer prize winners, these powerful Asian women overcome the stereotypes of their gender.
While they may be married to prominent figures, they are also strong achievers in their own right.
Priscilla Chan for example, is a practicing medical doctor. She tied the knot with Mark Zuckerberg of facebook fame over the weekend.
Other examples include Florence Sloan, the co-founder of film company Big Feet Productions, who is married to Hollywood veteran Harry Sloan, former chairman and chief executive of MGM Studios.
'Tiger Mother' Amy Chua is a successful author while Sheryl WuDunn, wife of fellow New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof, is a Pulitzer prize winning journalist.
